Job summary

Techmer PM, LLC seeks a Machine Operator for its Wichita, Kansas facility. The 1st shift runs 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday–Friday. Pay rate is $18.00 per hour and up depending on experience.

Responsibilities include operating all key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds, following safety SOPs, and contributing to process measurement and improvement. Requires High School Diploma/GED and manufacturing experience; extrusion experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Two years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Extrusion experience highly desired.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs frequently.
• Ability to learn plant equipment functionality.

We are currently seeking a Machine Operator for our Wichita, Kansas facility. This position will be on 1st shift which is 6:00AM-2:30PM, Monday through Friday. Pay rate is $18.00 per hour and up depending on experience.

Job Purpose:

Operate all key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for unique and specialty customer applications. Works safely to protect themselves, their coworkers, and the facility by following all standard operating procedures. Engaged in process measurement, control, and improvement in all aspects of their assigned tasks. Learns and understands key operating parameters which ensure that only in specification and high-quality product is delivered to our customers.

Skills/Knowledge/Ability:

• Basic knowledge of running an extruder or mixing equipment.
• Ability to learn pre and postproduction equipment and operations (drying, bagging, grinding etc.)
• General mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot problems
