Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Set up CNC lathes, mills, and machining centers for production runs.
  • Operate machining equipment while maintaining required production quantities and quality standards.
  • Perform machine changeovers and make necessary setup adjustments.
  • Inspect machined components using micrometers, calipers, comparators, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Verify that finished products meet dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Monitor machining processes and respond to tooling, dimensional, or production issues.
  • Keep products moving efficiently through assigned machining areas.
  • Record production activity through the DPI terminal.
  • Maintain accurate production counts and count cards.
  • Participate in ongoing machining and manufacturing process improvements.
  • Perform additional cell responsibilities based on production requirements.
  • Potentially support non-destructive testing, mass finishing, injection molding, polishing, and other production operations.
  • Work within a team-based cellular manufacturing environment.
  • Repeatedly lift materials or components weighing up to approximately 60 pounds.
  • Travel up to 5% when required.
Qualifications Needed:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must meet one of the following experience pathways:
  • At least two years of machining experience involving CNC lathes and/or CNC mills.
  • Four semesters of verified vocational or high-school machine-shop training with at least one year of CNC machining experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently perform machine setups.
  • Hands-on experience setting up CNC lathes, mills, or machining centers.
  • Working knowledge of precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, comparators, and indicators.
  • Ability to inspect machined components and identify dimensional or quality issues.
  • Experience maintaining production output while meeting established quality requirements.
  • Ability to document production quantities accurately.
  • Ability to work within a team-based or cellular manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift approximately 60 pounds.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%.
