Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in Simpsonville, SC for an on-site, permanent role. The candidate will operate and maintain CNC mills and lathes, read blueprints, and inspect parts with precision tools. Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC Machinist experience in manufacturing.
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining CNC mills and lathes.
  • Extensive experience with micrometers, calipers, gauges for precise inspection.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and models.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality parts meeting specs.
  • Good communication and teamwork; safety-first mindset.
  • Relevant CNC machining certification or diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

$20 - $28 per hour | Simpsonville, SC | On-site | Permanent

Monday-Thursday 3pm-1:30am with optional OT on Thursday + Friday and 15% shift differential

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Operating and maintaining CNC machines, ensuring they are in good working order and calibrated correctly.
  2. Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models to produce precision parts.
  3. Using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to inspect and ensure that the produced parts meet the required specifications.
  4. Setting up and operating multi-axis machines for the production of complex components.
  5. Performing routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning and lubricating parts.
  6. Troubleshooting and resolving machine-related issues promptly and efficiently.
  7. Adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  8. Working closely with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist in the manufacturing industry.
  2. Proficient in operating and maintaining CNC machines, including mill and lathe operations.
  3. Extensive experience with precision tooling and the use of measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  4. Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and design models.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues.
  6. Strong attention to detail, with a focus on producing high-quality products that meet specifications.
  7. Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  8. A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
  9. A relevant certification or diploma in CNC Machining or a related field would be an added advantage.
