Job summary

Aerotek in Rome, GA, is hiring a CNC Machinist for a contract-to-hire role in a fully onsite facility. You will set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, machine components to blueprints, and inspect with precision gauges in a dusty, non-climate controlled shop. Work hours run from 5 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with many Fridays included. Relocation to Canton, GA is required. The pay ranges from $18.00 to $40.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits available for eligible

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience with CNC machines, including setups and change overs.
• Able to perform own setups and tooling setups.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Knowledge of GD&T and G-code programming.
• 5+ years of CNC machining experience, including troubleshooting and programming.

Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills. You will machine components following blueprints, routings, and standard work while ensuring precise inspection using gauges, micrometers, and other measuring tools. Additionally, you will make basic CNC program adjustments and tool changes as needed.

Work Environment

This role is based in an industrial, non-climate controlled, and dusty machine shop environment. It is a large plant where you will be on your feet all day. The physical nature of the job requires working from 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with most Fridays included.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $40.00/hr.
