Responsibilities

• Develop machine tool centric manufacturing processes:
  • Select order of operations
  • Cutting tool selection
  • CNC programming
  • Design and implement robust work-holding
  • Collaborate on in-process quality controls
• Operate CNC machine and other various equipment
• Continuous improvement and 6S:
  • Diagnose issues with the machine and parts program
  • Measure parts to ensure finished product has correct specifications
  • Identify material defects in raw castings and finished parts
  • Correct inadequate measurements
  • Daily clean-up
• Mentor, train, and develop apprentices

Experience/Education Qualifications

• MasterCam software experience is preferred
• Experience with multi-axis machining
• Highly motivated
• Works efficiently in high pressure environments
• Accepts constructive criticism
• 5+ years industry experience preferred

Proficiency in the Following

• GD&T
• G-Code
• M-Code
• CAD/CAM Software
• Shop Math Skills

Machines & Technologies You’ll Use

• CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC)
• CAM Software (Mastercam)
• CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC)

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: From $20/hour

Ability to commute/relocate: Franklin, IN 46131 – Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required.
