We have an opening for our 2nd shift as a CNC Machinist.As a CNC Machinist you will play an important role in our shop. You will have the opportunity to work with an amazing team of tradespeople. Plan and perform diversified operations required to set up and operate as assigned number of CNC numerical controlled lathes and/or machining centers (horizontal boring machines) to rough and finish turn bore, face, counter bore chamfer and thread company product component parts in process of ferrous, nonferrous and alloy metals. A CNC Machinist should have experience with math, inspection, safety, quality standards, 5 S and work holding principles, and grinding.Together, as a team, we will move our customers forward.**Here are some additional duties you can expect:*** Detect and report faulty operations, defective material, questionable drawing requirements, and unusual conditions to proper Supervisor.* Perform work of acceptable quality requirements in accordance with engineering specifications.* Maintain working area in neat and orderly condition adhering to 5S standards.* Adhere to standards of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.* Make out time and production reports.* Follow all prescribed safety rules and regulations.* Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned during business.* Daily LN maintenance – Closing orders, issuing material as needed, outbound logistics, cycle count or other inventory requirements as needed.* Adhere to Valmet Inc. Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) goals and directives.* Perform other duties as assigned.**Requirements**:* High School Diploma or equivalent* Certificate or diploma in CNC Machine Tool with 2-3 years’ experience as a CNC machine operator.* Ability to translate mechanical documents, blueprints, and engineering drawings.* Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.* Ability to accurately understand dimensions and take measurements.* Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.* Ability to maintain an organized and safe work area per ISO 9000 and Valmet’s Safety guidelines.* Proper use of PPE.* Certified as a forklift operator and operate overhead cranes is preferred.* Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.* This role requires standing and walking for 70-100% of your shift, frequent lifting of up to 35 – 55 pounds.* Ability to work in various positions that may involve frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.Additional Information: Delivering competitive technologies and services is what we do best.
