Job summary

Trillium Construction in Decatur, AL is seeking Machine Operators for a long-term, full-time opportunity. Pay ranges $20-$24 per hour and schedules run 40-60 hours per week, with overtime possible.

You will operate CNC burn tables, load beams, read blueprints, and ensure quality while meeting daily production goals. OSHA safety rules apply and proper PPE is required.

Qualifications

• Experienced machine operator with CNC and fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings to ensure precise material processing.
• Pass a 9-panel drug screen and background check; OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC burn tables (plasma and oxy-fuel) to cut steel.
• Set up and operate beam line machines for drilling, coping, marking, and cutting.
• Load and unload steel using cranes and forklifts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and cut lists.
• Measure and inspect materials with tape measures, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Perform machine setup, tooling changes, and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor mechanical or programming issues.
• Maintain production quality while meeting daily production goals.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Trillium Construction is currently seeking Machine Operators for a long-term full time opportunity in Decatur, AL.

Pay will vary based on experience, $20-$24 an hour. Schedule is working 40-60 hours per week.

Job Duties

• Operate CNC burn tables (plasma and oxy-fuel) to cut structural steel and plate material.
• Set up and operate beam line machines for drilling, coping, marking, and cutting structural beams.
• Load and unload steel using overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and cut lists.
• Measure and inspect materials using tape measures, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Perform machine setup, tooling changes, and routine preventive maintenance.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor mechanical or programming issues.
• Maintain production quality while meeting daily production goals.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• Experienced Machine Operator with a strong background operating CNC machinery, burn tables, beam lines, and other automated fabrication equipment in structural steel and metal fabrication environments.
• Skilled at reading blueprints, interpreting shop drawings, and ensuring precise material processing while maintaining production schedules and quality standards.
• Experience working with structural steel, plate, channel, angle, tubing, and wide flange beams.
• Must be able to pass a 9-panel drug screen and background check.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Must wear a Type 2 Class C hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
