Job summary

Trillium Construction in Tuscaloosa, AL is hiring Machine Operators / Assembly Fabricators for a full‑time, long‑term role in an industrial fabrication shop. Qualifications

• 1+ year of industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
• Must be able to operate an industrial powered forklift.
• Must be able to work with various hand tools.
• Must be able to work with overhead cranes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting work orders and drawings.
• Able to work independently or as a team player.
• Perform work standing up in a cell for 8‑10 hours per day, up to 6 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate band saw to cut metal stock to dimensions.
• Read drawing cut sheets for specifications such as material, type, size of stock, and dimensions to be cut.
• Obtain and transfer stock to machine, manually or with hoist.
• Record material cuts & scrap on drawing cut sheets.
• Measure work accurately for conformance to specifications using tape measure.
• Mark identifying data on workpiece (project name and drawing references).
• Bundle cut sheet pieces together and/or place them on staging carts.
