Job summary

Volt in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to independently set up and operate Haas 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines, read blueprints, and ensure first article inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines.
• Experience with Haas CNC equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Understanding of fixture offsets, tool offsets, and machine clearances.
• Ability to perform first article and in-process inspections.
• Experience using indicators, gauges, and inspection tools.
• English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Independently complete machine setups with minimal supervision.

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in training programs as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 2-3 years of CNC machining experience

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with high noise levels
• Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (hours may vary based on department needs)
• Overtime: Overtime and occasional weekends may be required

Preferred

• Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis machining
• Minimum 1 year of Mastercam experience
• CNC programming knowledge
• Experience in aerospace or precision machining environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat

Pay Rate:

$25.00-$30.00 per hour*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
