Job summary

Volt is hiring a 1st Shift CNC Machinist in Pleasanton, CA. The role focuses on setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes and grinders from blueprints, and delivering precision parts in a hands-on environment.

You will read blueprints, adjust tooling and offsets, and inspect parts with precision gauges to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards. A strong safety mindset is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC machines.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Experience with precision measuring tools and inspection gauges.
• Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, offsets, and machine adjustments.
• Basic shop math skills and strong mechanical aptitude.
• A strong commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Put your CNC machining skills to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment where precision, quality, and craftsmanship matter. We're looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who is comfortable working from blueprints, making machine adjustments, and producing high-quality precision parts.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

As a CNC Machinist you will:

• Set up and operate CNC mills and other machining equipment, including lathes and grinders.

Pay Rate: $25.00-$30.00/hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
