Job summary

ProMach's HMC division is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to manufacture parts per drawings, manage material inventory, and maintain machinery through preventive maintenance. The role offers a modern, climate-controlled facility focused on world-class packaging equipment for a global customer base.

Ideal candidates read blueprints with GD&T, program Haas CNC equipment, and perform first-article inspections. A safety mindset and ability to multitask will help you succeed in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience, preferably in a custom machine shop.
  • Experience with Haas CNC equipment is preferred but not required.
  • Strong safety practices and mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multi-task.
  • Ability to read machine drawings/blueprints.
  • Follow directions and complete assignments.
  • Willingness to work 40 hours per week and maintain attendance.
  • Ability to set up and produce quality parts with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Operate & program Haas CNC mill and lathe machines safely and productively.
  • Plan machining by studying blueprints and GD&T.
  • Edit and download programs, set tool offsets and registers.
  • Perform basic calculations and verify part programs.
  • Verify settings by measuring parts and conducting first run checks.
  • Collaborate with engineering on R&D projects.
  • Maintain quality control through inspections.
  • Keep workspace clean and orderly.

You’ll contribute to the success of the company by manufacturing parts according to drawings, maintaining raw material inventory in accordance with inventory control policies, and maintaining machinery through proper preventative maintenance.   • Operating & programming Haas CNC mill and lathe machines safely and productively.
  • Planning machining by studying detailed/complex blueprints and work orders; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD & T).
  • Downloading/editing programs by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switches.
  • Calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry and trigonometry; proving part programs.
  • Verifying settings by measuring positions, first run part and sample work pieces.
  • Partnering with engineering on R & D projects.
  • Maintaining Quality Control through inspections
  • Keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly.
  • Minimum 1 year Manufacturing experience, preferably in a Custom Machine Shop environment desired.
  • Experience running Haas CNC equipment preferred but not required.
  • Excellent Safety practices and mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and to engage in multiple jobs simultaneously.
  • Ability to read machine drawings/ blueprints.
  • Ability to take direction and follow through with assignments as provided.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and maintain good attendance.
  • Must be able to work well in a team and environment.
  • Ability to do your own set‑ups and produce quality parts from drawings with minimal supervision.
