Job summary

JCB North America is seeking a CNC Machining Group Leader in San Antonio, TX. This full-time role oversees the CNC machining department, drives continuous improvement, and ensures safety and quality across production.

You will lead daily manufacturing activities, coach team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet delivery targets. A strong background in CNC processes and Lean methods is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in manufacturing/engineering fields.
• Minimum eight years of CNC machining experience.
• At least three years in a supervisory/lead role.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct daily CNC machining operations to meet production goals.
• Supervise, coach, and develop team members for engagement and growth.
• Monitor performance, attendance, and adherence to SOPs.
• Promote a flexible, collaborative, results-driven environment.
• Facilitate daily team meetings and communicate priorities.
• Establish training programs for onboarding and cross-training.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly performance reports.
• Maintain visual management tools and performance boards.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and health & safety objectives.
• Identify Lean improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams on quality and cost.
• Address employee concerns and cultivate a positive culture.
