Job summary

OPW is seeking a skilled Machine Operator for our Whitsett, NC facility. The role focuses on CNC milling and lathe operations to produce valve and regulator parts, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality through precise gauging. You will also perform basic maintenance and safety procedures in a production-driven environment.

The position requires 3–5+ years of CNC experience, the ability to lift 45 pounds, and a high attention to detail. A Friday–Sunday shift and OT as needed are included.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints and plans parts for CNC and manual machines.
• Performs quality checks with gauging tools and measuring devices.
• Maintains safe work practices and follows safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and operate CNC and manual milling/lathe machines.
• Load bars and parts, monitor tooling and coolant flow.
• Perform quality checks using gauges (Go/No-Go, calipers, micrometers).
• Assist in minor machine maintenance and setup as needed.
