Job description

Job Title: Machine Operator

Pay: $18+/hr. with the opportunity to earn an average of $23+/hr. with weekly incentive pay after completing your training.

Shift/Hours: 2nd, 3rd, or Weekends.

  • 2nd shift Monday to Friday 3:00pm to 11:00pm
  • 3rd shift Sunday to Thursday 11:00pm to 7:00am
  • Weekend shift 11 to 11, am to pm or pm to am. Work 24 hours and paid for 32 hours. Overtime will be required to cover weekday shifts, as needed.

What You Will Do

In this position you will operate automated and semi-automated production machines to manufacture automotive batteries. In addition, operators make minor adjustments during troubleshooting, recognize and diagnose machine problems, and participate in operator preventative maintenance of equipment such as cleaning, greasing, and replacing small parts. Perform visual inspection of machines for quality or productivity problems. Perform required quality checks as trained.

How You Will Do It

  • Operate machinery by controlling and adjusting machine settings, feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines.
  • Verify that product meets quality standards and keep records of approved and defective units
  • Clean equipment, tools, etc. and surrounding area between jobs.
  • Follow all safety, quality and production specifications, instructions, written and verbal.

What We Look For

  • 1+ year(s) of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Comfortable working 12+ hour days.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long period of time.
  • Ability to work in a hot environment.
  • Ability to physically bend, twist and kneel in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic math, reading and writing skills.
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to come in early or stay late depending on production demands.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE.
