Job summary

Qualifications

• Typically requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches and engineering specifications.
• Ability to monitor and verify quality using standard methods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools to make parts to exact tolerances.
• Interpret blueprints and determine sequence of operations and setup.
• Monitor quality and verify using measuring instruments and SPC where applicable.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic upkeep on machines.
