Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator (metal) for our company with a 50-year history. The role involves the following responsibilities:

1. Operate multi-axis (3, 4, & 5) machining centers.
2. Conduct in-process inspections.
3. Dismantle setups and return tools to proper locations after manufacturing runs.
4. Report any discrepancies in blueprint dimensions to management.

Minimum qualifications include:

• At least 2 years of experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, bore gauges, indicators).
• Ability to read drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensions.
• Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and accessories used on various machines.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Proficiency in English (written and oral).
• Adaptability to changing work environments and demands.
• Willingness to work extended hours if necessary.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for material fabrication calculations.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Willingness to operate multiple machines independently or collaboratively.
