Job summary

South Bay Solutions is seeking a CNC operator to run assigned machinery and load/unload materials. You will inspect finished parts to ensure they meet tolerances, while maintaining a clean, safe shop environment during a swing shift from 2:30pm to 11:05pm.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and experience with blueprint reading and measurement tools. Prior CNC exposure in heavy manufacturing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Horizontal, Vertical or Lathe CNC in heavy manufacturing.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Measurement tools and blueprint experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery using drawings, specs and instructions.
• Maintain or exceed production standards.
• Keep a safe, efficient, and clean work environment.
• Perform general shop maintenance and cleanup.
• Organize materials, hardware, and tooling.

Summary

Responsible for, but not limited to operating assigned machinery. Operator ensures that the machine runs smoothly and is appropriately maintained. The essential role of a CNC operator is to operate CNC machines, load and unload raw materials or partially finished goods, inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.

Work Schedule

Mon - Fri: Swing shift( 2:30pm to 11:05pm)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Use drawings (blueprint), specs and instructions to operate CNC Machinery.
• Maintain or exceed job production standard.
• Sustain a safe, efficient, and clean work environment.
• Responsible for the general maintenance and clean-up of the shop.
• Organize materials, hardware, and tooling.
• Perform other job-related duties.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must be able up to lift 50 lbs.
• Basic math and writing skills.

Education / Experience

• Experience operating Horizontal, Vertical or Lathe CNC in a heavy manufacturing environment (is a plus!)
• High School diploma or GED
• Measurement tools and blueprint experience preferred.
