South Bay Solutions in Fremont, CA is seeking a CNC operator to load/unload raw materials, operate CNC machines, and inspect parts to ensure they meet tight micron-level tolerances. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and quality in a high-precision shop.

The schedule offers Day and Swing shifts (6am-2:35pm and 2:30pm-11:05pm). You will work from blueprints and specifications, maintain documentation, and help sustain a clean, organized production area.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to change tools and make adjustments.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic math and writing skills.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines using drawings (blueprint), specs and instructions.
• Maintain or exceed job production standard.

• Perform parts inspection as per specifications.
• Document in process sheet.
• Verify proper tool usage.
• Organize materials, hardware, and tooling.
• Operate vertical machines as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the machine and surrounding area.
• Maintain continuity between work shifts through proper documentation and effective communication.
• Perform other job-related duties.

Summary

We are looking for an individual who can work independently and has an eye for detail. The goal is to produce high quality parts to meet customer quality standards. An Operator will adhere to safety standards and ensure that the machine runs smoothly. The essential role of a CNC operator is to operate CNC machines, load and unload raw materials or partially finished goods, inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.

Day (6am to 2:35pm) & Swing (2:30pm to 11:05pm)

Education / Experience

• Experience operating Horizontal, Vertical or Lathe CNC in a heavy manufacturing environment (is a plus!)

• Measurement tools and blueprint experience preferred.
