CNC Machine Op Shift: 1st 5:00am-1:30pm & 2nd shift 1:30pm-10:00pm Pay: $20.00-$23.00

Position Summary

Produces machined parts by setting up and operating computer numerical control machines. Loads parts in machine, cycles machine, detects malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools, maintains quality and safety standards.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties

  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers and use simple math to perform basic calculations.
  • Set-up and operate computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts.
  • Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing and sandblasting.
  • Inspects completed work for conformance to specification using tools such as calipers and basic measuring tools.
  • Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
  • Ability to work with chemicals, solvents, adhesives and lubricants.
  • Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in clean orderly condition, performs preventative maintenance and follows prescribed safety procedures.
  • Must have a working command of the English language, and be able to communicate orally and in writing.

  • Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
