South Bay Solutions is seeking a reliable CNC Lathe Machine Operator to join our production team in California. You will operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision metal and plastic components, while ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met.

The role requires reading blueprints, using micrometers/calipers/indicators, and maintaining tight tolerances in a fast-paced environment. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with prior shop experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Prior machine shop/manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators).
• Basic math and computer skills are expected.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Must meet production requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload CNC lathe machines.
• Monitor machine performance and tool life.
• Inspect finished parts with precision instruments.
• Adjust tool offsets to meet blueprint specs.
• Document inspection results and production data accurately.
• Meet or exceed production goals and cycle times.
• Operate multiple machines when required.
• Log job information, quantities, and downtime.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Report quality, equipment, or production concerns promptly to management.
• Communicate job status between shifts.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Summary
