Job description

Role Summary:

The CNC Machine Operator plays a crucial role in our production process. They are responsible for operating a variety of CNC machines, ensuring precision and efficiency in machining operations.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

1. Set up and operate CNC machines for 3, 4, and 5 axis machining.
2. Perform tasks such as conventional milling, drilling, fast hole drilling, and graphite shaping on metal castings, forgings, and bar stock.
3. Follow specifications and set-up instructions, applying expertise in machining methods.
4. Manually lift workpieces onto the machine table or use material handling equipment.
5. Position and secure workpieces accurately.
6. Select appropriate tooling for each job.
7. If required, place tools in the automatic tool changer in the specified sequence from the process sheet.
8. Record production inspection results in the computer data system.
9. Monitor displays on the control panel and compare them with data from the process sheet.
10. Verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and machining speeds.
11. Utilize precision measuring tools, such as micrometers and precision dial gauges, to ensure accuracy.
12. Follow company specifications to deburr parts or components.

Education:
