Sloan Lubrication Systems is a fourth-generation family business specializing in designing, manufacturing, and installing lubrication systems for various industries, with a focus on natural gas compression, refining, and rotating machinery. Duties & Responsibilities
- Load and operate CNC turning and machining centers under supervision, with guidance from experienced machinists.
- Follow written and verbal procedures as assigned.
- Read and interpret work order routings, prints, sketches, and tool sheets.
- Inspect work using micrometers, bore gauges, Vernier calipers, and other precision instruments.
- Maintain inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, and verifying receipt of supplies.
- Prepare manufacturing documents, including standard operating procedures, batch records, inventory reports, quality forms, and productivity reports.
- Monitor and adjust processes or equipment to ensure quality and productivity; troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Contribute to team efforts by completing tasks with high quality, within specifications, and on schedule.
- Follow quality control guidelines; make necessary adjustments and reject products outside specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, complying with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Report unsafe conditions and perform duties in accordance with safety policies.
- Accurately record labor and time entries.
- Learn and utilize company systems (email, HR, and production software).
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of CNC programming using G&M code.
- Ability to perform basic edits and offsets.
- Ability to read and interpret machine drawings.
- Basic math skills and elementary technical problem-solving abilities.
- Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a safety-conscious mindset.
- Ability to interpret prints and work instructions, applying GD&T principles.
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
- Computer literacy, including email and Windows-based systems.
