Job Description
We're offering a $2,600 sign-on bonus and a $3 shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts! Pay will be based on experience, and a skills test may be administered during the interview process.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Read Blueprints and Specifications: Interpret blueprints and job travelers for part specifications including dimensions, tooling instructions, and operation sequences.
- Tool Regulation: Monitor operations and adjust tool positions and actions as necessary.
- Inspection: Conduct inspections as required by job sheets, supervisors, and the QC department.
- Nonconforming Parts: Identify and segregate nonconforming parts.
- Secondary Operations: Perform deburring, cleaning, and other secondary operations on produced parts.
- Maintenance: Keep machines and tools clean and lubricated.
Desired Skills
(A skills test may be administered during the interview process to gauge proficiency)
- Troubleshooting: Ability to perform minor troubleshooting and follow written or verbal instructions.
- Math Skills: Understanding of basic math principles.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints.
- Measurement: Capable of using measurement tools to verify part conformance.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with tools used in machining.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
Equipment/Machinery Used
- Primary Machines: Operate primary machines in the work area.
- Hoists: Use manual and powered hoists.
- Secondary Machines: Operate secondary machines for deburring and finishing parts.
- Transport Tools: Use carts, baskets, and boxes for transporting finished parts.
- Measuring Instruments: Use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, thread gauges, and other inspection tools.
