Job summary

W3Global is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Maintenance Technician to repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure CNC and related manufacturing equipment operate efficiently in a Houston environment.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with CNC control systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Mazak, or Okuma. A minimum of 3 years in CNC maintenance is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in CNC machine maintenance or related field.
• Hands-on experience with CNC control systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret machine error messages and technical information.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment problems.
• Analyze machine error messages and information provided by machine operators to identify failures.
• Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery and equipment as required for repairs.
• Use testing and diagnostic equipment to identify machine malfunctions.
• Clean, lubricate, adjust, and perform preventive maintenance on machinery.
• Inspect machine parts and components for defects or wear.
• Operate repaired machinery to verify that repairs were completed properly.
• Maintain records of parts and materials used and coordinate replacement parts as needed.
• Perform other maintenance and repair duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience with at least one CNC control system such as:

  • Haas
  • Mazak
  • Okuma
• Strong knowledge of CNC machinery, machine tools, and their operation and repair.
• Solid mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including circuit boards and related components.
• Ability to diagnose problems and determine the appropriate repair or maintenance required.
• Ability to read and interpret machine error messages and technical information.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to frequently lift, push, or pull objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/machine shop environment.
