Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a CNC Lead in Dayton, OH to program, set up, and operate CNC mills, ensuring precision and quality. The role demands strong blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and programming skills, with a focus on mentoring machinists and improving processes.

The position is a direct hire on the 1st shift, offering up to $36.00 per hour, with benefits varying by client. Experience with Miltronics controls is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification preferred.
• Ongoing training in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and precision measurement is a plus.
• Experience with Miltronics CNC controls is a plus; prior lead/mentoring experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and machining equipment to produce precision parts.
• Program, edit, and adjust CNC machines to meet production and customer specs.
• Troubleshoot equipment, tooling offsets, and setup issues to maximize efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts with precision measuring tools to verify accuracy.
• Monitor processes, reduce scrap, and maintain safe, clean work area.
