Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Supervisor to lead on third shift in a direct-hire, on-site role. You will operate and set up CNC lathes and mills, program Mazatrol and G-code, and supervise machinists while ensuring strict GD&T adherence and high productivity.

You’ll train on a temporary first shift; candidates must be local and capable of commuting to the facility. The role offers strong growth in a precision manufacturing environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on CNC experience on lathes and mills.
• 2+ years as lead machinist or supervisor, preferably on 2nd/3rd shift.
• Proficient in Mazatrol and G-code programming.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and milling machines across multiple cells, including setup and deburring.
• Manufacture parts per engineering prints and GD&T specs.
• Perform precision measurements with micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and height stands; document production metrics.
• Lead maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and sustain machine performance.
• Review production schedules; prioritize tasks and prepare materials/equipment.
• Troubleshoot machining issues; identify root causes and implement improvements.
• Supervise CNC machinists on 3rd shift, assign tasks, monitor progress, ensure quality and productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement: fixturing, tooling, and process enhancements.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and planning for seamless operations.
