Sora Resource Group is seeking an experienced CNC Operator Lead to oversee machining operations at our Bay Shore, NY facility. You will guide CNC operators, ensure safety procedures, and drive efficient production.

The ideal candidate brings strong CNC operating and programming skills, setup experience, and a proven ability to meet production schedules and quality standards while coordinating with maintenance and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on CNC machining experience with mills, lathes, and presses.
• Proficient in Fanuc controls, CAM programming, and CAD software.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor CNC operators while ensuring safety procedures and production schedules.
• Oversee setup, calibration, and operation of CNC mills, lathes, stamping presses, and other equipment.
• Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls and CAM software based on CAD drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Inspect components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Verify finished parts meet blueprint requirements and quality specifications.
• Coordinate material handling, tooling setups, and fabrication activities to maintain efficient workflow.
• Troubleshoot CNC equipment and mechanical issues with maintenance.
