Job summary

Htprof is seeking an experienced CNC Operator Lead to supervise CNC operators, guide daily production, and uphold safety and quality standards on the shop floor. The ideal candidate has hands-on CNC operating and programming skills, plus experience with machine setups, GD&T, and CAM/CAD tools, to help meet schedules and improve productivity and part quality.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, stamping presses, and fabrication equipment.
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls, CAM programming, and CAD software such as SolidWorks.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T requirements.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments, tooling setups, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with PLCs, welding techniques, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to use hand tools for assembly and fabrication tasks.
• Basic math for measurements and calculations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor CNC operators while ensuring safety and production schedules.
• Oversee the setup, calibration, and operation of CNC mills, lathes, stamping presses, and other machining equipment.
• Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls and CAM software based on CAD drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Inspect components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Verify finished parts meet blueprint requirements and quality specifications.
• Coordinate material handling, tooling setups, and fabrication activities to maintain efficient workflow.
• Troubleshoot CNC equipment and mechanical issues, partnering with maintenance personnel on repairs.
• Maintain machine operation records, production logs, and quality reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve machining processes, productivity, and quality.
