Job summary

Burkert USA Corp in Huntersville, NC, seeks a CNC Lead for 2nd Shift to own CNC machining value streams from raw stock to finished part release. You will lead spindle time optimization, tool management, and structured process improvements across multiple machining cells.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related engineering field, 5–8 years of precision CNC experience, and hands-on SAP/CM25 and TMGR expertise. Strong Kaizen and 5S experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own the value stream processes for CNC machining of systems and standard components.
• Drive spindle time optimization across turning, milling, and multi-axis machining cells.
• Define and enforce setup standards and handover documentation between shifts.
• Partner with programmers on CAM strategy improvements.
• Lead root cause analysis on scrap, rework, and non-conformances originating in machining.
• Develop and execute a structured improvement roadmap between audit cycles.
• Own and maintain the manufacturing qualification matrix per SYNCHRO standards.
