Job summary

CoreDux USA in San Diego seeks a skilled CNC Lathe Set-Up technician for the 2nd shift (1:45pm - 10:15pm). You will set-up, verify, and run CNC lathes to produce parts per customer specs, inspect first pieces and in-process work, and maintain ISO 9000 paperwork.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC job shop experience.
• Must work to close tolerances in a high-volume environment.
• Proficient with complicated blueprints and advanced calculations.
• Familiar with CNC programming codes and complex set-ups.
• Ability to follow written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of cutting tool feeds and speeds.
• Understanding true position tolerancing and Cartesian coordinates.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set-up of CNC lathes including calibration of cutting tools and locating work offsets.
• Verify CNC programs and operate lathes as required.
• Complete paperwork in line with ISO 9000 standards.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of first piece and in-process work.
• Maintain clean work area and proper handling of tools and stock.
• Assist in training machinists or supervising operators.
• Handle deburring, modification, rework and assembly tasks as needed.
• May receive hazardous materials handling training.
