Job summary

Metal-Fab Services, Inc. is a precision machining shop in Anaheim, CA, seeking an experienced CNC Setup Technician to program, set up, and prove out 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills and lathes with live tooling.

You will read complex blueprints with GD&T and ensure tight tolerances on aerospace and medical-grade parts. Join a state-of-the-art shop offering competitive pay ($25–$40 per hour), shift premium for 2nd shift, full health/vision/life insurance, a 401(k), and a year-end performance bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on CNC setup experience on mills or lathes.
• Experience with Fanuc, Mori Seiki, or Fadal/Haas controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and prove out CNC mills (3, 4, 5-axis) and lathes with live tooling.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.
• Select and install appropriate tooling and work-holding.
• Make offsets and adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
• Inspect your own work using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machine alarms and tooling issues to minimize downtime.
