South Bay Solutions, Inc. is a high-precision machine shop serving semiconductor, medical devices, and advanced tech hardware. This position involves setting up and operating a CNC Lathe, producing parts per print while maintaining quality and safety.

Candidates should have 5–7 years of Lathe setup experience, be able to read prints with GD&T, edit G/M codes, inspect parts, and communicate effectively across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of Lathe setup experience.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, including GD&T.
• Firm understanding of CNC programming, including G/M codes & editing.
• Inspect own parts with attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively within the team, across shifts, and with management.

Responsibilities

• Produce operator-friendly, quality set-ups which meet print requirements.
• Work efficiently and diligently to complete set-ups within allotted time.
• Review and recommend changes to production tooling.
• Assist others in resolving issues or problems when needed.
• Report any manufacturing equipment deficiencies to the Manager.
• Support and assist machine operators in maintenance and repair tasks.
• Maintain a safe, efficient and clean work environment.

Summary

This position requires candidate to produce machined parts per print by setting up and operating a CNC Lathe machine, maintaining quality, safety standards and record keeping. This position requires strong CNC experience involving setting up and operating lathes. Must be able to work in a fast-paced & challenging environment.

Shift:

• Swing: 2:30pm - 11:05pm

Required Skills

• Minimum 5-7 years of Lathe setup experience.
• Work with minimal supervision to resolve issues.
• Must be able to setup from program notes & shop traveler.
• Must be able to read & interpret prints, including GD&T.
• Firm understanding of CNC programming, including G/M codes & editing.
• Inspect own parts with attention to detail.
• Proficient with inspection tools & methods.
• Communicate effectively within the team, different shifts, & management.
