Job summary

Hartzell Machine Works Inc. in Aston Township, PA is seeking a CNC Lathe Programmer with experience programming, setting up and operating Haas lathes. Proficiency in CAD/CAM, blueprint reading and using inspection equipment is required. Prior Haas lathe experience is preferred.

You will develop CNC programs for production runs, analyze drawings, select tools, adjust programs, and troubleshoot manufacturing issues while guiding operators on machining applications.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as CNC Lathe Machinist.
• Comfortable with using FeatureCam or MasterCam.
• The ability to read drawings and dimension parts.
• The ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for production runs.
• Analyze drawings to determine dimensions and choose cutting tools, machine speed and feed rates.
• Modify existing programs for different machines.
• Make manual program adjustments as necessary.
• Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.
• Communicate with others and direct operators in machining application.
