Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions in Michigan seeks a Lathe Operator to set up, program, and operate CNC lathes for production. You will select tooling, perform first-piece and in-process inspections, and manufacture parts per prints while maintaining equipment and following quality procedures.

Qualifications include 2+ years machining experience, lean manufacturing background, and basic GD&T/blueprint reading skills.

Qualifications

• Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• 2+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Experience in medical device manufacturing preferred.
• High School or Equivalent or greater preferred.
• Machining Trade School certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select programs, collets, bushings and tooling for setup on CNC Lathe.
• Perform setups as needed on CNC Lathe.
• Operate CNC Lathe for production.
• Complete required router information and inspections.
• Manufacture parts to manufacturing or customer prints.
• Maintain tooling and perform routine machine maintenance.
