Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions in Michigan is seeking a Lathe Operator to set up and run CNC lathes for producing orthopedic implant components. You will select tooling, perform setups, and ensure quality through inspections against prints and documentation.

The role requires 2+ years of machining experience, lean manufacturing familiarity, and an understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading. This is a hands-on manufacturing position in a medical device environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean Manufacturing Experience preferred.
• Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing preferred.
• High School or Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select programs, collets, bushings and tooling for setup on CNC Lathe.
• Perform setups as needed on CNC Lathe.
• Operate CNC Lathe for production.
• Complete required router information and inspection documentation.
• Perform first piece, first article and in-process inspection of parts.
• Manufacture parts to manufacturing or customer prints and maintain tooling.
