Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions in Michigan is seeking a Lathe Operator to set up and run CNC lathes for orthopedic implant components. You will select tooling, perform setups, and inspect parts to print specifications, ensuring high quality and efficiency in production.

Candidates should have 2+ years of machining experience, prefer Lean manufacturing and medical device background, and hold High School or equivalent; machining school is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• 2+ years machining experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing preferred.
• Machining Trade School preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select programs, collets, bushings and tooling for setup on CNC Lathe.
• Perform setups as needed on CNC Lathe.
• Operate CNC Lathe for production.
• Complete required router information.
• Perform first piece and in-process inspection of parts.
• Manufacture parts to manufacturing or customer prints.
• Maintain tooling on CNC lathe and perform periodic maintenance.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping per 6S and QMS procedures.
