Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer in Michigan to write programs for CNC machines, develop toolpaths from CAD data, and improve manufacturing processes. You will work with Unigraphics and MasterCAM to generate toolpaths for parts and fixtures and design fixtures with SolidWorks.

The role requires 5+ years of programming, tooling, and operating CNC equipment, with strong blueprint reading and CAD model experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC programming, tooling and operation experience.
• Strong blueprint reading skills.
• Experience with CAD-based model generation.

Responsibilities

• Generate efficient toolpaths from supplied CAD models.
• Modify models to ensure stable toolpaths.
• Develop manufacturing processes with repeatability.
• Troubleshoot issues and support manufacturing.
• Use Unigraphics and MasterCAM to generate/modify parts and tools.
• Create toolpaths for parts and fixtures.
• Design fixtures using SolidWorks.
• Train CNC Operators and other Programmers.
• Update CNC program directory per ECO/ECR.
