Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions in Michigan is seeking a Lathe Operator to set up and run CNC lathes for production. You will select tooling, perform setups, and inspect parts to ensure prints are met.

Responsibilities include maintenance of tooling, daily housekeeping, and following QMS procedures while supporting a safe, efficient work environment. High school diploma and 2+ years machining required.

Qualifications

• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in medical device manufacturing is a plus.
• 2+ years machining in a manufacturing environment required.

Responsibilities

• Select programs, collets, bushings and tooling for setup on CNC Lathe.
• Perform setups as needed on CNC Lathe.
• Operate CNC Lathe for production.
• Complete required router information.
• Perform first piece first article and in-process inspection of parts.
• Manufacture parts to manufacturing prints or customer prints.
• Maintain tooling on CNC lathe.
• Perform weekly, monthly and quarterly maintenance on machine.
• Performs set up of 3 & 4 Axis CNC machines.
• Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
• Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
• Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
