Job summary

Hyson is seeking a CNC Machinist - Lathe Operator for 1st and 2nd shift in Brecksville, OH. You will set up and operate Mazak, Mori-Seiki, and Star lathes, load parts, measure to prints, and ensure machine performance meets production demand.

Candidates should have 5–7 years of related experience, familiarity with G-code, blueprints, and basic math; able to work with minimal supervision and adapt to fast-paced environment; HS diploma or trade cert preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years related experience in CNC machining.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Experience editing and optimizing G-code preferred.
• Ability to operate sliding head and fixed head lathes.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC lathes (Mazak, Mori-Seiki, Star).
• Load/unload parts and fixtures, ensuring proper tooling.
• Measure parts to print specifications and document results.
• Prepare machines for unmanned runs and shifting loads.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in work areas.
