Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for 1st or 2nd shift in Lebanon, Ohio. The candidate will program, set up, and operate Mazak CNC lathes to produce precision components and oversee production to meet schedules.

You will read engineering drawings, apply GD&T, use precision inspection tools, and document data and nonconformances. Mentoring fellow machinists and identifying process improvements are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC machining experience on lathes.
• Proficient Mazak programming and setup.
• Strong GD&T knowledge.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection equipment.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate Mazak CNC lathes to produce precision machined components

• Ensure all parts meet established quality standards through in-process and final inspection

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes — particularly Mazak equipment — and will play a key role in overseeing production operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate Mazak CNC lathes to produce precision machined components
• Oversee and coordinate all production activities to meet schedules and output targets
• Mentor and assist fellow machinists with CNC programming and machine operation
• Ensure all parts meet established quality standards through in-process and final inspection

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection equipment
• Proven ability to hold tight tolerances in a production environment

Preferred

• Experience in a supervisory or lead machinist capacity
• Familiarity with ISO or AS9100 quality management systems
• Knowledge of part post-processing methods (deburring, finishing, etc.)
• Associate's degree or vocational certification in Machining Technology or related field
