Job summary
MLB Workforce, LLC is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator for a full-time, second-shift position in Charlotte, NC. The role requires hands-on CNC lathe operation, part loading and safe setup, and ongoing quality control to meet specifications.
You will read blueprints, adjust tooling, monitor dimensions with calipers and micrometers, and maintain production standards in a steel/metal processing environment. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are included.
Qualifications
- Previous CNC lathe experience required.
- Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing specifications.
- Experience with precision measuring tools.
- Understanding of tooling, offsets, speeds, and feeds preferred.
- Steel, metal processing or heavy industrial experience is a plus.
- Basic CNC program adjustments/editing are a plus, but advanced CNC programming is not required.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes / turning equipment.
- Load materials and properly position parts.
- Perform tooling changes and make basic machine adjustments.
- Read and understand blueprints and work specifications.
- Monitor machining operations for quality and accuracy.
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
- Maintain required dimensions and tolerances.
- Identify basic tooling or machining issues.
- Follow all safety and quality procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
