Responsibilities include loading bar stock, monitoring cycles, performing basic troubleshooting, and maintaining a clean, safe work area in line with AS9100 quality standards. The role offers first, second, and third shifts.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience working with CNC machines.

Responsibilities

• Operate two Miyano CNC lathes performing turning, drilling, boring, threading and milling.
• Prepare and load specified bar stock into bar loader.
• Monitor operations and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, CMM.
• Adjust part dimensions by offsets and tool changes.
• Review process router and drawings; follow inspection instructions.
• Troubleshoot machine and bar feeder alarms.
• Maintain AS9100 quality standards.
• Clean and maintain machines and equipment.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Maintain tidy work area and communicate daily feedback.

Job description

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CNC Lathe Operator to join our high-tech machining facility. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision components. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the quality of the machined parts, interpreting blueprints, and collaborating with the production team to maintain a smooth workflow. Routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adherence to safety protocols are also key aspects of this position.

Shifts:

1st Shift: 6:45AM - 3:15PM (Monday - Friday)

2nd Shift: 2:45PM - 11:15PM (Monday - Friday)

3rd Shift: 10:45PM - 7:15AM (Sunday - Thursday)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operate two or more Miyano ABX or BNX machines that perform a series of machining operations such as turning, drilling, boring, threading & milling to specifications
• Prepare and load specified bar stock into bar loader
• Monitor machine operation & verify conformance of work piece to specifications using measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMM, OASIS, Keyence, & functional gauges)
• Consistently check parts per inspection instructions; ensure non-conforming parts are controlled per protocols
• Adjust part dimensions by making offsets, change inserts, properly center & touch off tools as needed
• Review and interpret details on process router, scheduling board, part drawings, and inspection instructions.
• Perform basic trouble-shooting of machine & bar feeder alarms
• Adhere to AS9100 quality standards per protocol
• Consistently clean & maintain machines & related equipment to ensure optimal conditions for success
• Examine processes & identify opportunities for continuous improvement. We are all problem solvers at Precision Plus!
• Maintain work area cleanliness and organization
• Communicate daily feedback of notable items to following shift team member at end of shift
