Job summary

Precision Medical Technologies in North Manchester, IN is seeking a Production Machinist (Level 1) to operate and maintain CNC and other production equipment, producing high-quality medical components in accordance with specifications.

You will inspect finished parts, read blueprints, and collaborate with the production team to keep workflows efficient, while following safety protocols and documenting production activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a vocational program in machining or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a medical device or precision machining industry.
• Experience with operating and maintaining CNC machines and manual machining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC machines and other production equipment to manufacture medical components according to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments to machinery as required.
• Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflow and improve production efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Document production activities and report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of new machinery and production techniques.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and provide support in resolving technical challenges.
