MRS Machining is seeking a skilled CNC lathe operator to set up, program, and run Mazak-controlled lathes on close-tolerance turning jobs in Augusta, WI. The role includes reading blueprints, performing frequent quality checks, and maintaining tight tolerances with accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• CNC lathe setup and programming knowledge preferred.
• Mazak experience a plus.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, adjust, and operate CNC lathes to perform close-tolerance turning and cutting operations.
• Operate computer-controlled machines and equipment to manufacture metal components.
• Read and follow blueprints, department routings, and shop travelers.
• Perform frequent quality checks and accurate measurements to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Check inserts and tooling, and replace inserts, blades, or cutters as needed.
• Communicate any deviations or quality concerns to supervisors.
• Participate in cross-training.
