Role Overview

Under general supervision, sets up and operates vertical machining centers, lathes, mills, and similar machines, performing forming, drilling, tapping, reaming, chamfering, and cutting. Responsible for product quality via inspection methods.

Work Location

Farmington, CT - Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate computerized numerically controlled lathes.
  • Ensure product quality meets IMI standards.
  • Maintain productivity at or above 100% through proper setup and operation, minimizing costs and ensuring schedule adherence.
  • Ensure quality parts, minimizing scrap and rework through measurements and inspections.
  • Identify potential problems to uphold quality standards.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and respect.
  • Maintain accurate and neat paperwork, reducing errors and costs.
  • Keep workstation clean and safe, observing all safety rules.
  • Accurately maintain records, datasheets, work orders, and time cards.
  • Develop and increase job skills for flexibility.
  • Adjust, troubleshoot, and set up for new jobs.
  • Train new machinists.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
