Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a CNC laser systems Field Service Engineer to diagnose and repair Mitsubishi laser cutting equipment at customer sites across the United States.

You will perform mechanical and electrical evaluations, interpret wiring diagrams, and provide remote guidance when needed, with extensive travel and hands-on training to build a long-term career. You will also document service actions and ensure safety and equipment readiness on every assignment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, mechanics, mechatronics, or related field.
• Experience diagnosing electrical and mechanical problems.
• Ability to read machine manuals, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer facilities to diagnose, troubleshoot, and restore Mitsubishi laser cutting equipment to optimal performance.
• Perform mechanical and electrical evaluations, including disassembly/rebuilds, alignments, and precise system adjustments.
• Deliver remote triage and guidance by phone when on-site visits aren’t required.
• Set clear expectations with customers regarding findings, timelines, and repair results.
• Leverage schematics, wiring diagrams, and block diagrams to drive accurate fault analysis and repair.
• Capture detailed service notes, parts used, and resolutions; submit accurate documentation and reports.
• Complete expense reports promptly and accurately.
• Care for company tools, test equipment, and service vehicles, ensuring readiness and safety.
• Pitch in on additional tasks that elevate customer satisfaction and department efficiency.

CNC Laser Systems Field Service EngineerDepartment: Laser ServiceLocation: Milwaukee, WIWhat a typical week looks likeFrom Monday–Friday, you’ll be on the road supporting customers across the United States as the face of our laser service team. One day you’re calibrating a Mitsubishi laser cutter after a major retrofit; the next, you’re interpreting wiring diagrams to isolate an intermittent fault and getting production back on schedule. Travel is mainly regional, though nationwide trips (and the occasional international assignment) do arise.
