Job summary
Qualdoc is seeking a skilled CNC Laser Programmer in Virginia Beach to create, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, bending, and related fabrication tasks. You will work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with customer specifications.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years’ CNC programming experience in sheet metal fabrication, strong CAD/CAM skills, and the ability to maximize productivity,
Qualifications
- 3+ years CNC programming in manufacturing
- Ability to read drawings, GD&T, and blueprints
- Experience with laser cutting, press brakes, punch presses
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and ERP/MRP systems
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for laser cutting and other fabrication equipment
- Interpret drawings and customer specifications to develop programs
- Utilize nesting software to maximize material utilization and minimize scrap
- Generate machine-ready programs and verify accuracy before production
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production to improve manufacturability and cycle times
- Provide training and support to CNC operators
