Job summary

Acoustical Sheetmetal Company (ASC) seeks a CNC Laser Programmer to create, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, and bending of sheet metal parts. You will collaborate with Engineering and Production to improve manufacturability, reduce cycle times, and maximize material utilization while adhering to quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming systems.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, GD&T, and specs.
• Experience programming laser cutting, punching, bending equipment.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, bending and fabrication equipment.
• Interpret drawings and customer specs to develop manufacturing programs.
• Use nesting software to maximize material utilization and minimize scrap.
• Generate machine-ready programs and verify accuracy before release.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to improve manufacturability and reduce cycle times.
• Troubleshoot programming and machine issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain program libraries and documentation standards.
• Support first-article inspections and production validation activities.
• Follow safety procedures and quality requirements.
