We are seeking 1st, 2nd, and weekend shift Laser Operators who are dedicated, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, as this position involves working with limited supervision. The typical hours are:

• 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday for first shift
• 4:00pm - 1:00am, Monday-Friday for second shift
• 12pm - 12am for the weekend Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shift

This position requires a minimum of 45-50 hours per week, including partial Saturdays when business needs arise. Overtime is paid at a rate of time and a half for any hours worked over 40 in a week.

Responsibilities:

• Operate an Amada Laser, Amada Automation, and peripheral systems following standard operating procedures
• Perform operator-level preventative maintenance daily, weekly, and monthly
• Load programs following a production schedule and maintain production documentation
• Conduct laser material handling - load and unload steel, aluminum, and other materials
• Assist in part breakout and prototype work as necessary
• Communicate laser status to Supervisors and Engineers
• Troubleshoot issues with Engineering
• Work safely and enforce all safety policies

Qualifications:

• Computer literate
• Manufacturing experience
• Able to read blueprints
• Ability to learn troubleshooting issues with the laser
• Highly motivated and well organized
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with others
• Must pass a competency test and pre-employment physical, including a drug screen
• Flexible to adapt to updated changes in production schedules
• Crane and forklift experience preferred
