Job summary
Marquee Staffing is seeking a Production Worker / Laser Tech (Operator) for a precision machine shop in San Marcos, CA. The role supports CNC-controlled laser cutting for electronics and medical device components, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts, overtime potential, and a path from temp to hire.
The environment is fast-paced and detail-driven, with emphasis on quality and on-time production. Duties include loading parts, setting machine offsets, performing simple program edits, reading blueprints,
Qualifications
- Experience with CNC machine operation in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with machine setup, offsets, changeovers, and basic program editing is highly desirable.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales.
- Ability to read blueprints and perform basic shop math.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Willingness to train on 1st shift if needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC laser machining equipment.
- Load parts and set machine offsets.
- Perform simple program edits.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Measure parts using precision inspection tools.
- Perform visual inspections and deburr finished components.
- Monitor machine performance and report equipment issues.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with production, engineering, quality, and supervisors.
- Assist with equipment startup and shutdown after training.
